Picota cherry in colour with ruby nuances. Very complex nose, with ripe fruits, spicy notes of liquorice, toffee and cocoa. Silky soft mouthfeel with a velvety persistent finish - with hints of coffee, it is an elegant, round and expressive wine.
Viticulture
Vines are grown at 490m above sea level on clay and calcareous soils.
Vinification
Double grape selection, both when picking and on a sorting table as the grapes arrive at the cellar. Destemming, crushing and cold soaking. 10 days of alcoholic fermentation followed by 2 weeks of maceration of the wine with skin contact. Underwent malolactic fermentation before ageing process, 18 months in french and american oaks, followed by 2 years in bottle
