Grgich Hills Estate
Grgich Hills Estate is an iconic Napa Valley winery, consistently producing world-class wines. Miljenko “Mike” Grgich first earned world-wide recognition when the Chateau Montelena 1973 Chardonnay that he crafted won the 1976 Paris Tasting, beating the best of France and then revolutionizing the wine world. Mike then partnered with Austin Hills of the Hills Bros. Coffee family to open their family-owned-and-operated winery on July 4, 1977. In honor of his life-time of contributions to the wine industry, Mike was inducted into the Vintners Hall of Fame in 2008.
Committed to natural winegrowing and sustainability, our five estate vineyards totaling 366 acres are certified organic and farmed without artificial fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides. We rely on wild yeast fermentation and use our passion and art to handcraft food-friendly, balanced and elegant wines.
