This gorgeous Chardonnay opens with fresh, citrus aromas of Meyer lemon and lime followed by juicy, ripe peach, with underlying notes of honeysuckle, herbs and vanilla. The 2018 vintage showed above average natural acids in the wines, which, along with lower sugar levels make the 2018 vintage white wines exceptionally fresh and vibrant. Take a sip and you will discover extraordinary balance of citrus fruit on the front palate with minerality and depth of flavours on the mid-palate. The aftertaste is harmonious and lingers well beyond expectation.
Grgich Hills Estate Chardonnay thrives in their American Canyon and Carneros vineyards in the southern tip of Napa Valley, near San Pablo Bay, which spills into the San Francisco Bay. The cool maritime breezes and morning fog allow the grapes to slowly ripen to develop complex flavours whilst maintaining a bright, natural acidity. All vineyards are farmed naturally without artificial pesticides or herbicides and they are certified organic.
A classically styled wine, with no malo-lactic fermentation, preserving the natural acidity in the wine.
