Viticulture

This Pinot Gris originates from carefully selected vineyards in Rheinhessen, one of Germany's most diverse and respected wine-growing regions. The regions' varied landscapes, from gently rolling hills to well-exposed slopes, provide excellent conditions for producing Pinot Gris with depth, elegance and a harmonious balance between fruit, richness and freshness.
Rheinhessen's vineyards are characterised by a wide variety of soil structures, including limestone, marl, loess and clay-rich soils. Limestone and marl contribute finesse, freshness and a subtle mineral expression, while loess and clay soils provide structure, texture and balanced ripening conditions. These diverse terroirs are particularly well suited for Pinot Gris, supporting the development of its characteristic richness, gentle fruit aromas and elegant mouthfeel while maintaining a refreshing backbone. Sustainable vineyard management, careful canopy work and selective harvesting ensure healthy grapes with optimal maturity and aromatic concentration. The grapes are harvested at the ideal point of ripeness to achieve a balanced combination of ripe fruit character, freshness and natural structure.

Vinification

The grapes are gently pressed to preserve the delicate aromas and extract the natural richness of the Pinot Gris variety. After careful clarification, fermentation takes place under controlled temperatures to maintain freshness and purity while allowing the wine to develop its characteristic texture and complexity. The wine is matured on fine lees, enhancing its roundness, structure and subtle depth. A careful balance between fruit expression and gentle maturation creates a wine that is both approachable and elegant, reflecting the classic style of Rheinhessen Pinot Gris.
