This dry Riesling shows excellent balance of fruitiness and acidity and is an excellent wine to enjoy as a welcome drink or to pair with fresh fish.
Viticulture
2024 harvest was a wet, but promising vintage, the effects of heavy rain and uneven flowering required uber-diligent work in the vineyards. The year began with a very wet winter and mild spring, which ensured that the vines developed quickly. Budding occurred in April and followed by the rainy months from May to August. Flowering was delayed and bloomed unevenly and erratically, ending up with grapes at different stages of development in the same cluster. Harvest proceeded quickly and was completed in just over 3 weeks. The yields were average, with moderate sugar levels and good acidity and the result was really worth the extra efforts. Vinification
Harvested at optimal ripeness for a bright, fresh style. No overripe or botrytis-affected fruit is allowed. Fruit processed as quickly as possible to preserve freshness. Cool fermentation in stainless steel tanks. No malolactic fermentation. Light filtration before bottling. No other filtering or fining.
