Dr. Loosen "L" Riesling Dry is sourced from multiple vineyards with slate being the main soil type. We strive for healthy fruit and a minimum of 100 days of hang time. We have an experienced vineyard team and long-term contracts with growers to ensure that our quality standards are met. Of course, there is a lot of hard work in the vineyards (especially for dry wines as we do not want to have botrytis, which can raise the alcohol levels beyond what we feel is appropriate for Riesling), but there is also a social awareness and the winery where this Riesling is bottled is certified sustainable by Ecostep, and it is bottled in a lightweight bottle using vegan friendly winemaking techniques.
