Domaine des Marrans

Beaujolais

Beautiful freshness on the palate, fruity, mineral. Melted tannins.

Viticulture

Grapes are grown in various vineyards within the village of Lancié, from 45 year old vines with planting density of 10,000 plants/ha and a yield of 40 hl/ha. The 1ha vineyards are planted facing east at an altitude of 280m on granite and silt soils.

Vinification

Hand picked grapes that are sorted in the vineyard and in the cellar on a vibrating table. Semi-carbonic maceration for about 10 days in whole clusters. Control of temperatures below 28°C, with one very light pump over per day. Softly pressed and fermented with indigenous yeasts. 100% malolactic fermentation. Aged in oak foudres for 8 months.

Recommendation

Perfect to accompany poultry, Lyonnaise dumplings and cheeses. To be enjoyed within 3/4 years
