Currabridge
South East Australia
This Shiraz is of deep red colour. On the nose the flavours are reminiscent of blackberry and liquorice with a cracked pepper spice overtone. The palate is rich and round with soft tannins providing a lingering fruit-driven finish. This Shiraz is a medium to full bodied wine. Appearance
Bright ruby with purple highlights.
Nose
Fresh red berry and plum aromas with a touch of spice.
Palate
Light to medium-bodied, juicy and smooth, with soft tannins and lively acidity. The lower alcohol keeps it refreshing and easy to drink.
Finish
Clean and fruity with a gentle spice note.
Style
A lighter, approachable Shiraz — vibrant, fruit-driven and perfect for casual occasions or by-the-glass enjoyment.
Viticulture
The three keys on the label are symbolic of three vital influences in winemaking - the soil, the climate and the grape varieties.
Vinification
The vilification likely involves fermenting the must in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks to enhance fruitiness, followed by gentle pressing. The aim is to produce a richly flavoured wine with characteristic dark berry and plum notes, often with sweet oak, vanilla, and mocha flavours.
Recommendation
Serve as an accompaniment to pasta, red meat or barbeques. Optimum serving temperature is 16°C - 18°C.
