2022 Tidebrook Six Petals Rosé

Tidebrook

East Sussex

The Medieval buildings at Mousehall contain many six-petal apotropaic marks known as hexafoils or ‘daisy wheels’, perceived as a good luck symbol to protect against evil. Hedgerow fruit aromas with an underlying fresh acidity and a dry, wild strawberry finish.
Longer lees contact in tank is expressed as a brioche aroma with a creamy texture.

Viticulture

The grapes for the Six Petals Rosé were hand-harvested between the 12th and the 15th of October

2022.
CLONES
Pinot Meunier Clone 817 and 978
Pinot Noir Clone 667

Vinification

Whole grape clusters were gently pressed, and the juice naturally settled before fermentation in stainless steel tanks. The wine was matured “sur lie” in tank for 12 months to add richness to the hedgerow fruit flavours. Lower in alcohol, this wine is similar to a Coteaux Champenois style.
