2022 Jordan Chameleon Merlot

Mature vineyards yield opulent fruit with plum, rich blackberry and mocha flavours. Framed by generously rounded tannins and spiciness from maturation in French oak, this wine is seductive from start to finish.


Viticulture

SOIL: Decomposed granite and loam.
ASPECT: North & east-facing vineyards
AGE OF VINES: 16 -34 years


Vinification

Fermented in overhead retort-shaped, stainless steel fermenters. Pump-overs were done three times daily during fermentation. The use of gravity and gentle pressing ensure full-flavoured wines with soft, balanced tannins. This wine spent 16 months in second and third fill 225 litre French oak barrels.
