Villarrica Chardonnay is an elegant wine. Full bodied and brimming with tropical fruit flavours. Buttery overtones and a citrus acidity give the wine structure and finesse.
Viticulture
Grown in own vineyards in the Valle Central, on loam sandy soils, the vines are trellised using the Vertical Shoot Positioning method.
Vinification
The grapes are machine harvested at optimum ripeness at the end of February. The grapes are cold soaked for 8 hours. They are carefully crushed and are then fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks at 12°C - 16°C. This wine has an ageing potential of 4 years.
Recommendation
Serve chilled and enjoy as an aperitif or pair with roasted white meats, fish or creamy pasta dishes. The optimum serving temperature is 13°C.
