2021 Domaine Bader-Mimeur Meursault "Le Limozin" Blanc

Domaine Bader-Mimeur

Côte de Beaune

Plot classified as a village "Le Limozin", very well located between the two famous Premiers Crus "Les Genevrières" and "Les Charmes". A deep golden yellow colour. Delicately woody nose, with notes of roasted almonds, dried flowers and fleshy white fruit. Very fresh on the palate, with airy body and great precision

Viticulture

Planted close to Charmes and Genevrières in argil and chalk soils. Sustainable farming with no herbicides. Leaf stripping and simple Guyot pruning. Partial grassing with mechanical working of the soil. The vines are around 35 years old and planted with a density of 10,000 plants/ha, with a yield of 50hl/ha.

Vinification

Grapes were hand-picked, then the whole bunches are pressed in a pneumatic press. The grape juice is then cold-settled before filling oak barrels by gravity within 24 hours. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation takes place entirely in oak barrels, naturally using indigenous yeasts. Aged in French oak barrels for 10 months with 20% new oak, then for 4 months in stainless steel tanks with regular stirring of the lees.
