2021 Casa Silva Quinta Generacion Red Blend Los Lingues

Casa Silva

Colchugua Valley

Viticulture

The Casa Silva Quinta Generación Red Blend is a structured and powerful Chilean red wine with a deep ruby colour and intense aromas of black fruit like blackberries and black currants, complemented by spicy notes of cloves, cardamom, tobacco, and licorice. It is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenere, Syrah, and Petit Verdot, aged in French oak, and is known for its full body, firm tannins, balanced acidity, and a long, elegant finish with hints of sweet spices.

Vinification

The vinification of Casa Silva Quinta Generación Red Blend involves hand-picking grapes, pre-fermentation maceration, alcoholic fermentation, and then post-ferment maceration, followed by malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels and 12 months of aging in oak. The grapes are selected by hand before and after destemming, cooled, and then fermented at a controlled temperature before spending a period of time aging in oak and bottle.
