Ladoix Blanc has a crystal clear golden yellow colour. Its nose reveals fresh aromas with notes of white-fleshed fruit. Round and balanced. On the palate it is greedy, silky and slightly woody.
Viticulture
Old massal selection of chardonnay (three quarters of the vineyard), planted on 161-49. Fairly old vines, over 40 years old. Clay-limestone soil, complex of slope formations: products of alteration of the substrate, various scree and colluvial silt on chailles (limestone pebbles). These cherts, coming from the Buisson alluvial cone, provide these relatively fertile soils with good drainage, favourable to the earliness and ripening of the grapes. Located at the foot of the Butte de Corton, these vines are around 250 m above sea level. The slope is low, the exposure South for Les Chagnots and South-East for Les Chaillots.
Vinification
The whole grape is pressed and cold-settled for around 24 hours. The clear must is fermented in barrels (15% new). It will be aged on lees for 10 to 12 months. The wine is bottled without fining, after filtration on plates.
Recommendation
