Viticulture

The viticulture for Casa Silva Lago Ranco Riesling involves growing the 100% Riesling grapes on a volcanic soil hillside in the Osorno Valley of Chilean Patagonia, a cooler climate region. The vines are planted on slopes that face Lake Ranco, creating a special microclimate that allows the grapes to mature, with temperatures around \(22-24\degree C\) during ripening


Vinification

The vinification process for Casa Silva Lago Ranco Riesling involves a cold storage period, followed by a whole-grape pressing and fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a low temperature of \(12-13^{\circ }C\). The wine is then managed with its lees until bottling and is aged in 100% stainless steel tanks, with no oak influence.
