This Reserve presents itself with a ruby colour, aromas of black and ripe fruit and also elegant floral aromas in perfect harmony with the notes of oak. It is harmonious in the mouth, with good acidity and ends with fruity notes and some toast. A beautiful red wine while young, which leaves no doubt as to its capacity to age and grow in the bottle.
Viticulture
Overall, the 2019 viticultural year presented itself with cooler temperatures and lower levels of precipitation than normal.
In winter we had lower average temperatures, mainly in January and reduced levels of rainfall, with the exception of November. Bud burst occurred in mid March and in April we recorded high levels of rainfall. Flowering at the end of May, benefited from
the average temperatures observed. In June and August average temperatures were lower, and in August we even had precipitation.
During the harvest, the trend of cooler temperatures and less rainfall continued, which prolonged the ripening period, leading to a rather long and pressure less vintage. In fact, it was our longest vintage with 50 days of cutting and it was also our our 5th vintage which started in August.
Vinification
Alcoholic fermentation. Maceration takes place in stainless steel vats, at a temperature between 24 and 26ºC.
Then it is aged for nine months in new and used French oak casks.
