2018 Schnaitmann Simonroth Lemberger Dry Organic

Schnaitmann

Württemberg

SIMONROTH® is a registered name for the valuable wines of our estate, which was introduced and protected as early as the first 1997 vintage. We harvest the grapes in VDP-classified first and large vineyards. The term is derived from a hamlet founded at the foot of the Kappelberg called "Immosrod", which gave its name to the adjacent vineyards.
In the glass, the Simonroth Lemberger appears dark with a sapphire red core.
It smells of violets, thyme, juniper wood, bay leaves, black pepper and Parma ham, accompanied by red and black currants, sour cherries and plum compote.
Classy Lemberger with great balance, due to the ripe acidity, fine fruit, velvety tannin structure and excellently integrated wood. Impressive length!

Vinification

Traditional maceration with 100% whole grapes. Spontaneously fermented and aged over 18 months in 10% new and 90% old 300 liter barrels and tonneaux. Bottled unfiltered, vegan.

Recommendation

With upscale Swabian cuisine, game, poultry, red meat, offal, goulash, stews. Best served at 16 - 18 ° C in a large Bordeaux glass
