Domaine D'Ardhuy
Côte de Nuits, Burgundy
This wine shows an appearance of a clear deep red colour. On the nose this smells of a variety of red fruits. On the palate there is a powerful and vigorous feel with a rounded finish. This wine is lightly oaked giving it a slight toasted essence.
Viticulture
The vines are grown on brown limestone over organodetritic limestone from the Bathonian and Callovian eras (facies "Dalle nacrée" or pearescent stone). In order to maintain a generally high standard the vines in the Clos de Langres are a mix of ages from around 25 years old to 65 years old. The average age is 50 years old.
The Clos de Langres is situated between Ladoix-Serrigny and Corgoloin on a synclinal elevation which lends itself to good drainage and a luminous and aerated microclimate. It is at an altitude of around 245m - 255m. The slope is shallow and faces South-East. The plot is located at the border between Côte de Beaune and the Côte de Nuits and is thus truly at the heart of the Burgundy wine region.
Vinification
According to vintage conditions.
