Hahndorf Hill

Hahndorf Hill winery is a boutique sized property situated in the beautiful cool-climate wine region of South Australia.
Owners Larry Jacobs and Marc Dobson have been running the vineyards and guiding the winemaking processes for the past 13 years, although the property was originally set up and planted about 25 years ago by the previous owner.
We are dedicated to extracting the very best that our regional terroir can offer by maximising the quality of the grapes produced within the vineyard. We achieve this by meticulous pruning, canopy management and crop control. In addition we have specifically pioneered various grape varieties into Australia which we believe are perfectly matched to our unique conditions of climate and soil.
We therefore produce wines from all the classic Adelaide Hills varieties – but also now specialise in our pioneered range of Austrian varieties such as Gruner Veltliner and Blaufrankisch, with Zweigelt and St Laurent waiting in the wings for future production activities.
All our wines are made to be extremely food-complimentary and, in fact, one of our business slogans is:Unique. Boutique. Food Wines.
Currently our production is at 6000 cases per year which we intend to grow steadily in a measured fashion.
