The promotion will feature the entry level Dom Rafael range, both wines are line priced and for every 12 cases purchased, mixed across the range, an additional 2 cases will be added free of charge, also included in the promotion is Ponte Red. Family owned Herdade do Mouchão, is an estate now owned by the sixth generation of a British-Portuguese family, based in the Alentejo region of Portugal. In a country steeped in winemaking history, the name Mouchão is synonymous with wines of distinction. The family-owned estate has been producing wine for over a hundred years and maintains the traditions established in 1901 when the new winery was built. The distinctive character of Mouchão wines derives from three principal characteristics: the Alicante Bouschet grape, the specific terroir and adherence to traditional winemaking methods. At Mouchão grapes are hand-picked, foot trodden in marble cement lined lagares and the wine aged in five thousand litre wooden vats. Mouchão wines are renowned for their longevity, maturing subtly as they age.
Dom Rafael White 2019
(Antão Vaz, Arinto, Fernão Pires) Made from indigenous Portuguese white varietals. Antão Vaz, Arinto. Exquisitely fresh, yet full in the mouth. Sourced from relatively old vineyards, this distinctive white is uncharacteristically concentrated yet elegant with vibrant ripe fruit and delicately crisp on the palate.
Dom Rafael Red 2018
(Aragonêz, Trincadeira, Castelão, Alicante Bouschet), Youthful with hints of maturity, showing dark, plummy tones. Mild dark chocolate with spicy peppermint undertones. Soft, delicately fruity, lightly textured, fresh and shows a wonderfully persistent finish.
Ponte Red 2016
(Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional, Syrah) Aromas of black fruit, plum jam, raw tobacco leaf, mint, spices with hints of Touriga Nacional florality. Beautifully balanced and rich, possessing surprising freshness and structured, exuberant tannins.

Containing two superb examples of entry level Dry Riesling. The first, Gunderloch Estate Dry Riesling, is produced in Rheinhessen by Johannes Hasselbach, the 6th generation to take the helm at Gunderloch winery. Clean, crisp, and modern dry Riesling. loaded with zesty citrus and fantastic minerality. The Villa Wolf Riesling Dry hails from the more southerly Pfalz, one of the warmer and drier regions of Germany, this wine displays an excellent balance of fruitiness and acidity.

Showcasing two outstanding examples of “fruity” German Riesling this case includes the wonderful Guntrum Niersteiner Bergkirche Riesling Kabinett, a classic example of Rheinhessen Riesling Kabinett, grapes are grown on loess and sandly loam soils on approximately 2 hectares of this renowned southeast facing slope above Nierstein. Grapes for the Dr Loosen Urziger Würzgarten Riesling Spätlese are taken from the blazing red and insanely steep Ürziger Würzgarten vineyard, which fills the picturesque amphitheatre formed by a dramatic bend in the river. It produces wines with exotic, spicy aromas that are bursting with tropical fruit flavours. The estate’s oldest vines are found here.
THE CURIOUS CASE (12x75cl)

For those eager to explore further afield in Germany this case offers two wines from smaller, lesser-known regions. Schnaitmann Steinweige Riesling is grown organically just outside Stuttgart, in Baden-Württemberg. Rainer’s laser focus in the vineyards is on full display in this Steinwiege Riesling, which shows great varietal purity and expression of terroir. Sebastian Fürst is perhaps best known for his Pinot Noir wines, but the Franconia region also produces terrific Riesling, grown on stony soils the Fürst Riesling pur Mineral is fermented bone dry and displays a real elegance and pure minerality, hence: pur mineral!

QUINTA DO PORTAL COLHEITA ROSÉ 2020 6x75cl
This is a dry and fresh Rosé produced from a blend of the premium Douro grape varieties, Tinta Roriz and Touriga Nacional. It has a delicate pink colour obtained by free run juice. Modern winemaking retains aromas of fresh wild berries and pomegranate. It is deliciously crisp and refreshing and is best served chilled as an appetizer or with salads, fish and shellfish.
JORDAN CHAMELEON ROSÉ 2020 6x75cl
A dry classic French “blanc de noir” style made from a free-run juice blend of shiraz and merlot. Harvested earlier to retain fresher acids and treated very reductively in the cellar, this helps to capture the primary fruit flavours of strawberry coulis & dried cranberries with delicate spiciness. Excellent with flash-fried prawns and red-chilli vinaigrette.
MAS DE CADENET ROSÉ ORGANIC 2020 6x75cl
This delicate pale pink rosé offers a beautiful mineral freshness, revealing gentle aromas of citrus, red fruits and flowers. A delectable wine best served at 10°C.This fresh and elegant rosé can be enjoyed by itself. This is also a terrific wine to have along with food, easy pairing with Mediterranean dishes (tartare, ceviche, ratatouille…) as well as exotic foods.
