2020 was a strange and a very challenging year!
There was a lot of pressure in the vineyard to control diseases. This, of course, forced the introduction of a greater concentration of treatments in the vineyard.
The hot summer was very harsh for a production that was already reduced, with Touriga Franca being the most affected and that made it very sensitive and there was pressure to withdraw from the vine even before it was at the ideal point.
In the cellar, the whites were very closed aromatically. This ended up alerting us that the reds were also showing the same behavior. However, with the end of fermentation and in the first months of post-harvest stage, everything started to reveal itself and we are now finally receiving signs of what we would expect from the grape varieties. In terms of concentration, color and volume, 2020 is rich. We now have to balance it through aging until filling.
