Luddite Saboteur White 2020

“Is Alice Verburg having a growing influence on the style of the Luddite whites? It would seem so. This a fresh, low-intervention, partially skin fermented cuvée of Chenin Blanc with 36% Sauvignon Blanc and Viognier, combining Bot River and Elgin grapes. Complex, layered and nutty, with a salty tang and a hint of stone fruit from partial botrytis. 2021-24” Tim Atkin

“Bottled under a crown cap, this is a well-made, harmonious blend of mostly Mourvèdre and Syrah with 13% Cabernet Sauvignon and Grenache. Supple, plush and textured, with perfumed 30% new wood, rosemary and wild pepper top notes and plum and bramble fruit. Very drinkable. 2022-27” Tim Atkin
