Here comes Spring!

As the days start to brighten, Spring invites a shift towards vibrant food-friendly wines. This Easter, celebrate with a few of these bottles, selected with the long bank holiday weekend in mind and which pair perfectly with traditional Easter dishes.

SPARKLING

Get Easter lunch off to a celebratory start with Sophie Schaal’s Crémant d’Alsace, Extra Brut, with its flavours of citrus, pear and toasted notes. Perfect as an aperitif, but also pairs well with oysters, sushi, goats cheese and poached salmon.

CRISP WHITES

Look no further than Philip Shaw Wines, The Dreamer Viognier. From cool climate Orange, in Australia, this light and fresh wine, has no oak and offers tropical fruit flavours with a crispy savouriness and a saline finish. Delicious paired with fresh seafood, or creamy poultry dishes.

If you prefer something a little more traditional,

CELEBRATE ROSÉ

Family owned, Mas de Cadenet has just released its 2025 vintage, from the Saint-Victoire region of Provence. With lovely red fruit on the nose and a lively palate with layers of gooseberries and fruit drops, a terrific match for grilled fish or white meats.

ELEGANT REDS

Enhance your roast lamb with the bright fruit and soft tannins of a Richard Rottiers Moulin-à-Vent, or, if you prefer the peppery notes of a Barossa Shiraz, look no further than Sons of Eden Kennedy Shiraz.
