Decanter Magazine - July 2026 - Jacques Bruére Cap Classique

Congratulations to Bon Courage for the recent feature in Decanter Magazine

"'Cap Classique is absolutely unbeatable when it comes to value', according to sparkling specialist Anne Krebiehl MW.

David Kermode agreed: 'While non-vintage Cap Classique makes a fantastic party starter - a superior alternative to Prosecco or Crémant- it's definitely worth climbing the quality ladder. I doubt that you'll find anywhere that offers better value.'

To pick just one example, with more than a decade of lees ageing and a big, bold flavour, the extravagantly rich Jacques Bruére Blanc de Blancs 2013 from Bon Courage, can be found for less than £20 via independent merchants - about the price of non-vintage Crémant from France."

Highly Recommended

3rd Place of wines tasted

Bon Courage, Jacques Bruére Blanc de Blancs Brut, Robertson 2013 - 93 Points

JM 94, DK 94, AK 91

Exuberantly evolved, full of coffee bean, buttered toast and biscuit, then honey, truffle and orchard fruit. Rich, earthy and savoury, lifted by a gentle mousse and enduring umami-flecked freshness.

Bon Courage, Jacques Bruére Reserve Brut, Robertson 2016 - 91 Points

JM 88, DK 93, AK 92

Coffee bean, smoke and truffle, then grilled pear, butterscotch popcorn and crème caramel. Rounded, outspoken, yet bright and delicious. Buttery richness and savoury length.

Bon Courage, Jacques Bruére Rosé Brut, Robertson 2016

JM 89, DK 92, AK 93

Smoky and toasty, with gunflint, smoked almond, hot cross bun, strawberry conserve and rhubarb crumble. Concentrated fruit and a fine mousse.
