Decanter Feb 2021 - Division Wine Company & Gunderloch

Decanter featured two wines from Division Wine Company in the article Oregon Pinot Noir, with top selections from Charles Curtis MW. Gunderloch was also featured in Weekday Wines as the 'Must-Try White'

Division, Deux, Eola-Amity Hills 2018 – 93 points

"A model of elegance and restraint, made from the fruit of 30 – to 40-year-old own-rooted, biodynamically farmed wines. Depending on the lot, one-third to two-thirds of the bunches were included in the fermentation. Matured in cask for 10 months, bottles unfined and unfiltered with minimal SO2. Depth, richness, no over-extraction, dark cassis, black cherry, ample backbone" - Tasting Note

Division, Trois, Eola – Amity Hills 2017 – 92 points

"The late-ripening 2017 vintage from the cool, high-altitude Temperance Hill vineyard delivered wines with freshness and verve. The initial impression of bright black-cherry fruit develops hints of a saline minerality accented with floral notes, and partial use of whole-cluster fermentation and gentle extraction ensure a supple texture and impressive ripeness – never over the top. Four barrels produced."

Gunderloch, Redstone Riesling, Rheinhessen, Germany 2017 - 91 Points

"This mineral, refreshing Riesling is made by the Gunderloch estate in Nackenheim on the banks of the river Rhine. Flint and burnt match notes on the nose with honey, ripe apricot and peach as a backdrop. Runchy green apples, lemon and ripe nectarine on the palate, followed by a clean finish. Excellent value at this price." SW
