Awin Barratt Siegel Wine Agencies Launches Cascadia from Washington State

Awin Barratt Siegel Wine Agencies (ABS) are pleased to announce the launch of their new own label wine from the Yakima Valley AVA in Washington State, Cascadia.    Docking late February Cascadia Syrah is the first of two forays into Washington State for ABS, as they are also launching new agency, Kevin White Winery, from the Yakima Valley AVA in March.

Cascadia takes its name from the Cascade Mountain Range, which runs from the north of Washington State southwards into Oregon.  The Cascadia Syrah is sourced from a single family owned and operated vineyard in the Yakima Valley AVA.  This 100% Syrah is targeted at independent retail with an RRP of around £15 and offers a full bodied wine, with dark berries, clove and white pepper aromas with a plush round mouthfeel.

Marketing Manager, Lesley Gray, commented on the new launch.
“Washington State is still new to many consumers but is producing really accessible fruit driven wines.  Cascadia Syrah showcases the plush ripe fruit flavours, typically found across Washington State.  We believe this competitively priced wine, with its striking label, will appeal to a wide audience and encourage experimentation from consumers, who are not yet familiar with this wine-growing region.”
Cascadia Syrah is packed in 12 x 75cl and will be available in the UK from early March.
